Not so great., By = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PS3 160GB with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 Blu-ray Disc Bundle (Video Game) First off, you are getting a PlayStation 3 and a Blu-Ray player that will never get out of date (some first generation BD players, and possibly newer generations, are not able to play new BD movies due to new security features on the disc). The PS3 is great. I was impressed immediately for the game of Uncharted 2. Works great with movies too. Just know you MUST use a HDMI cord and an internet connection (it does come with wireless or an ethernet port) to fully use the PS3's features.Now, on to Harry Potter: Note that this disc CANNOT BE USED ON A NON-3D TV! I was fooled by this when I got it in the packaging. Thinking it would be a good showcase movie. Nope. HOWEVER, the 3D version of Harry Potter is going for $30+ on Amazon. Sell it! They have enjoyed it quite a bit, it runs a lot cooler (and quieter) than the old larger version of the PS3. The reason I decided to get the "Harry Potter bundle" is because it was the same price as the normal game system, a free blu-ray disc, just sweetened the deal. The built in wi-fi works great, even a couple of rooms away from the wireless router. I didn't want to pay the same price for a system when I could get a bundle. This has also been great because my husband has a PS3 already so this allows him to play one-on-one with the kids and battle it out. There has not been a day go by that it is not played and the movie was perfect for a family movie night. I would definitely recommend this product for purchase. |
